The Rock has gifted Ford trucks to his family members in the
past to include his uncle Tonga, who is also a professional wrestler. Johnson
also gave a colorful story on Instagram about how his Uncle Tonga gave him a
pair of purple shorts to wear for his audition with the WWE when he was broke
and could not afford the right equipment. “What they didn’t know was that I was
broke as hell and didn’t actually own wrestling gear - no boots, knee pads or
most importantly… wrestling trunks. I went to Sports Authority and bought some
bright ass white volleyball knee pads, called my Uncle and asked if he had ANY
trunks I could use for my tryout.”
