Dom (played by Vin Diesel) maintains the iconic 1970 Dodge Charger that has been a supporting actor in the action movie franchise. This time around the Charger has been give a much wider stance to include oversized wheel arches, extra-wide tires and a splattering of bullet holes for good measure.
Letty (Played by Michelle Rodriquez) has arguably the best car in the film that appears to be perfect for the rugged terrain of Iceland while staying true to her muscle car roots. The Local Motors Rally Fighter is equipped with a 6.2-liter GM E-ROD V-8 engine that delivers 430 horsepower and 424 lb-ft of torque at 4,600 rpm. The look of the vehicle is inspired by the iconic P-51 Mustang fighter plane of WWII.
Fast 8 launches a new trilogy of films that will be followed by the planned release of Fast 9 April 2019 and Fast 10 April 2021. Rumors suggest that Universal has plans to expand the franchise into spinoffs and prequels. All of the franchise regulars will be back for Fast 8 to include Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriquez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Luacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, Nathalie Emmanuel and Lucas Black.
Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson and Kurt Russell will return in their respective roles as well. Charlize Theron will be joining the cast as the film’s main nemesis alongside Kristofer Hivju as one of her henchmen. Scott Eastwood will also join the star-studded cast alongside Hellen Mirren.
