The two-time Daytona 500 winner quickly found his groove as he negotiated the challenging turns and tricky elevation changes found on the extremely fast 1.5-mile racetrack to finish with a very impressive lap time of 1:06.09. Waltrip’s assistant driver was spot on with relaying the appropriate information to the veteran stock car driver that allowed this first-time visitor to leave SPEEDVEGAS amazed at just how fast the track actually is.Waltrip hung around after his driving experience to spend time with friends and take in the view that is offered from the second floor balcony of the newly constructed SPEEDVEGAS clubhouse that overlooks the start/finish line.
