Few characters in the world of film have maintained success through the years as well as Agent 007 himself, James Bond. The British spy has saved the world from utter destruction on more than a few occasions and is well known for his eclectic array of gadgets and weapons but also for his envy-inducing car collection. While Mr. Bond has taken a car drive in many a luxurious car, the one brand that seems to stick with him through the years is the Aston Martin.
If you’re looking for the best, luxury sports car, it’s hard to argue with the British car manufacturer, Aston Martin. Aside from the high-performance supercars they produce, Aston Martin rose to prominence in the 1960s with the appearance of the DB5 model in arguably the greatest James Bond film ever made, “Goldfinger.” The latest entry in the film series, “Spectre,” introduces the latest experiment from the mad scientists at Aston Martin, the DB10.
Bond’s latest Grand tourer sports a 4.7L V8 engine that tops out around 200 miles an hour. There were only 10 DB10 cars manufactured by Aston Martin, eight of which were used for filming the dynamic action sequences of the film. The final pair of DB10’s is currently being used as a show car with one finding a home in London Film Museum.
