The BBC is bringing Top Gear back to the U.S., and one of the new show’s three hosts is a Hollywood character actor that everyone recognizes, even if few know his name. You probably know him as “that guy” from The Dark Knight, “dude” from Prison Break or “whats-his-face” from Entourage.
He has a name though, and it’s William Fichtner. As BBC America announced Monday, he’ll be one of three hosts for Top Gear America, which will have an eight episode run later this year. Joining Fichtner will be British automotive journalist Tom Ford, who was a host on the BBC’s Fifth Gear, and drag racer Antron Brown, who won last year’s Top Fuel championship and knows how to survive a scary crash.
“Top Gear America” - filmed at SPEEDVEGAS - will premiere on BBC America later this year. The current, 24th season of the original “Top Gear” is airing now on the network.
