It seems that new, exciting exotic cars are popping up all the time these days, but one of the most intriguing innovations has just come from Mexico. A joint venture between a Mexican design team and Italian manufacturers, the Inferno Exotic Car looks like one of the most advanced vehicles ever made. While the Inferno’s appearance looks more like an alien spacecraft than a car, it’s what’s under the hood, or rather, on top of it, that’s truly out of this world.
The Inferno Exotic Car boasts a twin-turbo V8 engine with a whopping 1,400 horsepower underneath its hood, allowing the hypercar to accelerate from 0 to 62 in less than 3 seconds and hit speeds of more than 245 miles per hour. On top of all that, the Inferno’s lateral acceleration figure is 1.33G, putting its handling into the same class as the ridiculously quick, Ferrari 458 Speciale. With so much going on in the inner workings of the Inferno Exotic Car, it’s a true testament to its design team that they were able to make the body of the car its most impressive feature.
The body of the car itself is made from a combination of zinc, aluminum, and silver that the design team is calling, “metal foam.” This stretchable metal is a truly remarkable scientific innovation that can stretch to 100 times its normal size. What this means for an exotic car, is that the material is lighter and stronger than any other, with its strength compared to a commercial armored vehicle.
With its violent, aggressive design, can the Inferno Exotic Car give Lamborghini and its stable of fighting bulls a run for its money? Only time will truly tell, but it will be interesting to see if the Inferno ever sees a production run or maybe even the track racetrack here at SPEEDVEGAS,
