Just two months after releasing the rear-wheel-drive Huracan
Spyder, the team at Lamborghini has been hard at work to bring two new variants
of the Huracan to market. Both of the unreleased models that have been spotting
wearing camouflage are expected to follow the same naming practices as the
Lamborghini Gallardo. These versions will be hardcore variants aimed at the
track enthusiast who is interested in a lighter and more powerful experience.
Expect the Superleggera and the Spyder Performante to
maintain the mid-mounted 5.2-liter V10 engine that is currently found in the
base models of the Huracan and the Audi R8. Exact performance specs are not
currently known, though it is safe to assume that both examples will possess
more punch than the current 610 hp of the standard Huracan.
Weight reduction will play an important role in the Superleggera and the Spyder
Performante. The Lamborghini Gallardo was able to shed almost 200 lbs during
its transformation, expect the Huracan to undergo a similar experience.
