Tuerck took the GT4586 out to Willow Springs Raceway in
California to smoke some tires and see if his creation was going to live up to
all of the hype that has been surrounding this build. The car delivered and
then some! The GT4586 delivers plenty of raw power to the rear wheels resulting
in massive clouds of smoke and plenty of sideways action. Tuerck invited fellow
pro drifter, Chris Forsberg to get in on the action behind the wheel of a
Nissan 370Z Nismo.
In order to pull off a build of this magnitude, almost every inch of the car had to be modified. The high-revving 4.5-liter V8 engine was equipped with a pair of custom headers that are facing the wrong direction along with front-facing exhaust pipes that fit nicely inside the custom body kit. A new suspension was required to assist with all the sideways action that will be taking place. Tuerck worked directly with Shawn Hudspeth to create a custom set of BC Racing DR Spec coilers for the GT4586 courtesy of Huddy Motorsports. 18-inch wheels were outfitted and wrapped in a set of Hankook RS3 tires with 245/40R18s in the front and 265/40R18s in the rear.
The end result is a massively powerful drift car that is sure that capture the attention and imagination of everyone who is lucky enough to see it in person. The rest of us will have to settle for this awesome video.
