When it comes to athletes with excessive tastes, few can rival the over-the-top persona of one of the greatest boxers of all time: Floyd “Money” Mayweather. Like anyone with money to burn, Mayweather has spent a great deal of time and cash building a collection of fine automobiles that include a Ferrari 458, a Lamborghini Aventador and the insanely fast Bugatti Veyron. Recently, the retired boxer reportedly put down $3.5 million for Bugatti’s upcoming Chiron hypercar, which is said to be even faster and more powerful than the Veyron.
An Exotic Car and Driving Experience That Packs a Punch
One quick look at the specs sheet for the upcoming exotic car from Bugatti and it should come as no surprise that Floyd Mayweather felt the need to add it to his already illustrious collection. With a reported horsepower of 1,500, this Bugatti is said to accelerate from 0-62 miles per hour in a mere 2.2 seconds and reach top speeds of close to 300 miles per hour.
Unfortunately for the boxing champion, he’ll have to wait with the rest of us to even catch a glimpse of the new Chiron as Bugatti isn’t revealing their new exotic car until the Geneva International Motor Show in early March. For the meantime, Floyd Mayweather is going to have to settle for slumming around in one of his other exotic cars.
